Om Ishwara , ...... Yes, peaceful and balanced, inspired and energised would all be words to describe how I'm feeling. I think that you teach with great heart and humility and love and this really infuses your work with gentleness and positivity. I loved that you were so flexible around timetabling and sequencing in the sessions. It made the pace feel spontaneous. Your voice is also wonderful to listen to and work with - it really focuses the mind towards the actions being asked of the body and your quiet repetition of instructions/invitations somehow entered my own thought processes, so I felt more guided than taught. Vanda Scaravelli in her book Awakening The Spine says of her teacher B.K.S. Iyengar: "We can say that he has the genius of teaching, having the possibility to acts with his willpower on the body of others, taking it 'psychologically' into his hands, as if it was his own, to bring it to the point he wants." and I think you have something of this quality of attention and clear communication and wholeheartedness that just makes the body and mind and heart want to open like a flower. It is a real gift and I'm so grateful to have experienced it. I also liked the mix of asana, vinyasa, pranayama, mantra, meditation and experiencing the landscape outside - I think you got the balance right in the time allotted.......... I valued and enjoyed the whole weekend. You really did 'share Yoga' with us, as you intended. A hundred thousand shining thanks! Namaste. Love and blessings Susanna (Ritambara) (2004)
Dear Neil , I feel so much more in my heart after the retreat , much softer , it is a really lovely place to be . Thank you for sharing your love through the yoga practice , it makes such a difference for me , it is how I have always wanted to practice but have never really found a teacher who has brought it all together, the postures , the flow and breath , the heart energy - so I have taken that lovely feeling and understanding away with me . so i look forward to sharing again with you on this journey , may love and peace be with you . nickyre ...
